FARD or Jamabandi is a document that provides details on the land/property, such as ownership. It is the records of rights (RoR) containing information about the land, its owners and cultivators, etc. FARD is an essential document as it protects the interests of landowners.
How to Check your Land Record Online
Visit the website: http://jamabandi.punjab.gov.in/
Select your Region (district, tehsil, village and year)
A new page will open, where you need to select your “nakal/registry” type.
- Jamabandi
- Mutation
- Roznamcha
- Mutation After Registry.
After selecting the type of registry “Jamabandi”,. You will have to enter further details; for some records, you must type names in the Punjabi Language. Don’t worry; they provide you with Online Punjabi Keyboard.
After filling correct details, submit the application form.
You will be able to see your land records. You can also take a printout or download it for future reference.

The process of getting a Fard Offline is very simple and straightforward. These officials will help you get a copy of your land record.
Just follow the steps below:
- Visit the office of the Sub-Registrar in your area and ask for an application form for a certified copy of the RoR.
- Fill out the form completely and submit it along with the required documents and fees.
The required documents are:
- Aadhaar Card
- Identity Proof (PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID/ Driving License)
- Proof of Address (Passport/ Voter ID/ Driving License/ Bank Statement/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill)
After submitting the form and required documents, you will be given a date on which you can collect your Fard.
On the specified date, visit the office and collect your Fard.
That’s it! You have now successfully obtained your Fard.
